Check which SL you are booking

The SL name spans different generations and configurations. Do not assume every rental matches the newest AMG SL shown on a manufacturer page. Identify the actual listing and ask about the roof, seating and features that matter to your plans.

If the passenger arrangement is important, confirm it directly. A model name does not establish usable rear-seat space, and an extra seat position is not automatically suitable for every adult or child. Give the provider the information needed to assess the fit.

Build a luggage plan around roof use

Explain what you need to carry and ask about the storage when the roof is raised and lowered. If cases need to move for roof operation, that affects the itinerary. Travel with a load that the confirmed vehicle can accommodate comfortably.

For a flight arrival with large cases, consider a roadster rental after you reach the accommodation. That can keep the open-air outing separate from airport logistics. If you want hotel collection, agree the access and meeting point with the rental team.

Choose an outing that works with the roof closed

Consider heat, rain and the time you expect to be driving. A useful itinerary should still be enjoyable with the roof up. Allow time to stop somewhere suitable before changing the roof configuration, following the instructions for the actual car.

Learn the roof controls at handover rather than discovering them in a queue or at a venue. Ask about luggage placement, parking and what to do if a roof operation cannot be completed. Clear instructions are part of making an unfamiliar vehicle easy to use.

Keep the rental window focused

If the SL is the highlight of a particular day, request the period that serves that outing. If it will be your only car for the stay, check the airport load and every passenger need first. You can request a separate quote for a sedan or SUV if the trip calls for a split arrangement.

Pugachev Miami has individual SL listings, including an SL White page. Start with the named vehicle and ask for dates, complete charges, mileage, deposit and both handover points. Confirm the actual car before making a timed activity depend on it.

Separate the airport journey from the roadster outing

Consider two versions of the first day. In one, the SL must take every passenger and case from the airport to the accommodation. In the other, luggage reaches the property before the roadster outing begins. Compare these complete arrangements rather than deciding that one attractive photograph settles the entire stay.

A hotel-based outing can give the SL a focused role: leave large cases behind, carry what is needed for the day and return to the same accommodation. An airport collection may still suit a light load, but it deserves a specific passenger and storage check. Include the final flight-day luggage plan too; the return journey can be more demanding after shopping or extra packing.

Use the handover to rehearse the day

Before setting off, check the seating position and the items you need within reach. Ask the team to show the roof procedure for the actual car and the luggage arrangement in both positions. Understand where to stop if you want to change the roof later and what instructions apply if conditions prevent completing the operation.

Plan one enjoyable version of the outing with the roof closed as well as open. Choose the stops and timing around the day you want, with room to adjust for conditions. Avoid a schedule that relies on a quick roof change immediately before a timed reservation or a crowded arrival.

Finally, settle the return time, location and fuel or mileage questions while the car is being explained. If the roadster is only one stage of the trip, obtain a separate written arrangement for the sedan or SUV used before or after it. Keep the combined cost and both handovers visible so a split plan remains convenient rather than adding a rushed vehicle change.
